RUNNERS' CLUB OF GREATER CINCINNATI BOARD MEETING MINUTES
November 6, 2005
(at Bob Roncker's Running Spot)

Members Present: Todd Hofacre, Jeff Hummel, Ed Hunter, Nick Kleiner, Mike Moyer, Kate Rich, Carl Rich

Newsletter: The next issue is expected to come out in one to two weeks. New articles should be sent to Amy as soon as possible.

Thanksgiving Day 10K Race (Thursday, November 24, 2005, starting and ending near Paul Brown Stadium) Club members will be able to store labeled clothing bags at the Club's tent during the race. The Club expects to receive about $500 for helping with clean-up after the race.

Holiday Lights Run: (Tuesday, December 6, 2005, starting and ending at the Williams YMCA) This year's route has been modified to avoid the construction at Fountain Square. From the Williams Y, runners will head downtown to the CG&E train exhibit at Fourth and Main Streets and then to Sawyer Point. Runners wanting rides back to the Y will be able to get rides from the Sawyer Point parking lot. Tom has reserved the upstairs room of O'Bryons in O'Bryonville for refreshments afterward. Based on previous events, we would expect about 50 people.

Holiday Party: (Saturday, January 7, 2006, at the Fort Thomas Community Center, same location as last year) Jeff will set up a music system. Todd will send out post card reminder/invitations to the membership in early December. Members can now RSVP on the Club's website. The Board agreed that costs should be $15.00 per person if the RSVP is postmarked by December 31, 2005. After January 1, the cost will be $20.00 per person. Mike has called the caterer we used last year and has arranged for the same menu as last year. Jeff will ask Jody how we handled tablecloths last year.

Next Club Happy Hour: The Board selected Wednesday, February 1, 2006, as the date. Runners will meet at Fleet Feet on Kenwood Road, Blue Ash. Refreshments afterward will be at Baxter's nearby.

Valentines Run (2 miles, February 12, 2006, Northern Kentucky University) Sign-up for the race can be done on the Club's website. There is no other new information about the race.

Heart Mini-marathon 29 (5K and 15K, Sunday, March 26, 2006, downtown Cincinnati) The Board requested that Julia contact the Westin soon to reserve a hospitality suite. The start and finish of this year's race will on Fifth Street near the P&G buildings because of the current Fountain Square reconstruction project. We believe the Westin is the closest hotel to the start and finish areas.

30th Anniversary Memorial Day Race (5 miles, Monday, May 29, 2006, likely at Lunken Airport) No new information available .

Next Board Meeting: Sunday, December 4, 12:30 p.m., at O'Bryons in O'Bryonville. Note the change in the time and location.

Respectfully submitted,
Ed Hunter, Secretary
